I like to go down from the hills of Titirangi and into the shabby world of Glen Eden, I like the feral nature of the place and love the humble Cambodian bakery where I demolish a cream - filled chocolate lamington - too often.

I’d seen the bland north facing wall of the liquor shop and always imagined it could do with some colour.

So rustling up chosen artists from ‘A Supported Life’ and the concept of reimagining archival labels from the early Croatian West Auckland wineries we created a heritage mural incorporating a lively collection of abstract interpretations of the old, now redundant labels.

The locals, and ones with not a lot to do during the day would hang with us, listen to our Elvis Presley rocking through the alley, and ask if they could pick up a brush - so lots of interaction with the local community.
