From October 2017 -  January 2018 I was based in Varanasi, India

collaborating with embroiderers and woodblock carvers. I wished to tell stories through these crafts about Indian events and traditions that I found both confusing and challenging. This three month artist residency was supported by The Asia New Zealand Foundation and The James Wallace Trust and culminated in the New Zealand travelling exhibition 'Ragpicker at 4am'
